The cabin of HR 100 n ° 07 has taken off for a new destination...

Five years ago, our association came for the second time to the rescue of the cabin of HR 100 n ° 07, the story of which follows in a few lines.

After a life in a flying club, a large part of the fuselage was recovered by students from ESTACA to transform it into a flight simulator. Following the relocation of the school, the fuselage significantly shortened and stripped of all of its instruments found itself abandoned in the school's covered car park. Thanks to Louis's intervention, the cabin was transferred to the museum where a new life is planned for it. But time passes, studies continue and priority is given to the pursuit of professional careers.

The simulator installation continues and stops one day for lack of combatants...

The cabin remains in the museum for two years and receives from time to time young visitors who take a few minutes for future pilots.

But time goes by and after receiving the display cases offered by our neighbor Carrefour, the cabin is finally transferred to the museum's storage containers while waiting for a new opportunity.

Our friend Philippe suggests that we contact Franck, who has been producing flight simulators for several years and who is the French specialist in the manufacture of cockpit parts and accessories.

Contact is made with the HomeCockpits team and we decide to give them the cabin, which can then be used when the time comes for a new achievement of which they have the secrets.

After loading and a visit to the Concorde, Franck and Serge, masked out of necessity and not out of discretion, leave with the cabin towards Eure-et-Loire, one hour from Paris, where their workshop is located.

As we would have really liked to discuss even more at length, we accept with pleasure the invitation to come and visit the workshops of :

About ten days later, we find our guests and the HR 100 cabin with a slightly larger model...

This cockpit of an A 320 saved by the team will not be transformed into a saucepan, but will become the future showcase of the company's achievements. All the parts made for the simulators can find their real place in this cabin, so imagine how they will go in future individual realizations.

We found on their site these few lines from Franck which explain everything:

“My passion for everything related directly or indirectly to aviation and more specifically to flight simulation began when I discovered at the Paris Air Show years ago that we could build a simulator of AIRBUS at home.

I then undertook the construction of an A320 Cockpit in 2009.

After several years of discovering the field’s necessary for such an achievement, superb meetings with extraordinary people, I was able to evolve and learn a lot. I have therefore perfected myself and equipped with professional machines allowing me to offer you high quality flight simulator parts and accessories so that you can feel in total immersion during your flights..."

Is it still useful to add other comments ... these few pictures will suffice!

To end this visit and our article here is the end of Franck's quote:

All of our simulator parts and accessories are machined using:

- A small CNC with a work surface of 180 x 230 mm

- A second CNC with a work surface of 600 x 400 mm

- 2 FDM 3D printers

- 2 DLP 3D printers

- 1 CO2 laser cutter / engraver.

This is how HomeCockpits.fr was born, with the desire to stay as close as possible to our customers.
