While in France, Mr. Nic Gazzana came to visit us.
For those who haven't seen the first Mad Max film (1979), Nic Gazzana played Starbuck, a character in the ruthless biker gang.
An actor, singer-songwriter, and composer, he wrote two pieces of music for the film's soundtrack, "Jessie's Theme," which Max's wife plays on the saxophone, as well as the song "Licorice Road," heard during the cabaret scene.
He arrived on Wednesday, September 17, along with our friends from the "LAST V8" team, in the vintage Australian Ford Interceptor of Mad Max.
The visit begins simply by discovering the replica of the PA 100, the first delta-wing aircraft built in 1935 by Nicolas Roland Payen.

A few explanations in front of the SA models, during the extreme cold campaign created by Quentin and the diorama of Lionel's museum. The visit continues of course with a few dozen... photos with Mad Max's car whose front bumper is also named : "Concorde".

Now it's time to join Concorde.

The tour begins with a tour of the cockpit and a series of "how-to work" explanations on the aircraft's operation, as well as all the work that has been accomplished since 1988.
Seeing our visitor's amazement fills us with joy.
The actor then turns into a director to present the cockpit live to his wife who could not attend the visit.

Judging by the big smile and enthusiasm that our visitor showed us at the initiative of our friends from LAST V8, this short visit was very much appreciated by "Nic" (as he immediately asked us to call him) the funniest thing was that he was even able to speak Italian with a visitor from Argentina who, like him, was of Italian origin and joined us in the post with our friend Yvon.

Once again we see that Concorde still excites people all over the world and that it appreciates all the languages spoken on board.
Thanks to LAST V8, Claire Parize-Pasquier, JP and AP for the photo credits. All rights reserved.
Before leaving again in the Ford Interceptor, Nic left us a little souvenir of his visit with this dedication.
