A SURPRISING ENCOUNTER AT THE MUSEUM…

NWe are not very familiar with these men dressed in orange.

So first of all, to know a little about our visitor, as we always say in our articles :

How it works :

A Buddhist monk leads a simple life governed by rules.

Whether in Nepal, Thailand, or elsewhere, a Buddhist monk commits to a simple lifestyle governed by 227 rules. He also agrees to respect five precepts of life:

• not to kill, whether a person or an animal

• not to lie

• abstinence

• not to take mind-altering substances: neither alcohol nor drugs

• not to steal

It is always surprising and interesting to meet a monk.

Now it's time to talk about this wonderful visit.

This Wednesday, what a surprise it was to see a Buddhist monk arrive at the museum.

Once the surprise had passed, our visitor insisted on buying his entrance ticket, holding the €5 he had prepared in advance.

He seemed very interested in the Concorde, and he listened to some explanations about Nicolas Roland Payen and the museum, but he waited patiently to be guided through the SA.

He's a cutting-edge monk; he wants to see everything and record it on his smartphone, no doubt to share his experience with his brotherhood when he returns to Thailand.

Communications are in English.

The tour begins with the rear cabin.

Amused by the machmeter, he tries the seats (even if they are not those of a Concorde).

We continue the visit to the cockpit and feel the interest grow.

resentation of the different functions, everything interests him, he listens to the explanations with great interest, takes photos, smiles and we can detect a certain wonder in his eyes.

We would have liked to know what he was thinking at that moment.

We hope he was praying that the SA's nose would drop to 17.5° again.

Before his departure, there is a complete tour of the plane and a few dozen photos to immortalize our SA.

One last selfie in front of the SA : but first he welcomes our young visitors with a big smile, as this last image shows, with a very natural kindness that amused the young Indian girl and her friends from South East Asia.

After this first happy experience, if new bearers of peace and serenity pass through Athis Mons, we await them with as much pleasure as our unexpected visitor.
