Goodbye to Sir RETIF.
It is with sadness that we learn of the departure for his last flight of Mr Michel Rétif, a name closely linked to Concorde.
As he wrote in his book, it was « Le MECANO du Bloch 134 à Concorde » a book in which he recounts the fascinating life of an aviation enthusiast since his birth on February 17, 1923.
His flights on Concorde as a Test Flight Engineer began with the F-WTSS prototype in 1969 during its first flight and he completed 640 flights and 1,354 flight hours on all French Concorde.
On board F-WTSA Mr. Rétif carried out the following 41 flights:
