SA was happy to welcome cars again.

Cars and planes have always cohabited happily together. Ever since the last JNVE (national day of vintage cars) in 2019 our Concorde was quite lonely because of the Covid restrictions.

To start with a big thank you to Frédéric for this great photo of Dassault, Saab and Aérospatiale together.

The easing of the conditions for accepting visitors saw the return of vintage cars and enabled the opportunity to take some nice shots.

A few days later at the initiative of our friend Alain a "great Concordophile", we had the pleasure of welcoming on Saturday July 10, at the Delta Museum site, he and his friends who own SUZUKI "Swift-Sport" cars enabling them to meet again amicably (which they had not been able to do for many months). While respecting the sanitary protocol, they were able to visit the beautiful white bird. Despite the capricious weather, everyone had a great day and left with plenty of photo souvenirs with a promise to come back soon.

Since a long time, Patrick and Laurent had already launched the idea of organizing another friendly meeting at the museum and invited members of the Fans d'Anciennes of the Linas association and fellow collectors.

July 18, at 9 am Laurent with his "déesse" and Jeremy with his "dedeuche" met up with the ancestor of the meeting registered for the first time on May 27, 1935 that you will discover in the photos below.

Then followed by:

Peugeot 504 Coupé - Renault 4 CV - VW Golf 16 S Match - Triumph Spitfire - Mazda MX 5 - Renault R 5 TS - Renault R 4 - Renault R 4 - Nissan 300 ZX - Chevrolet Corvette - Pontiac GTO Renault R 8 Triumph TR 4 - Mini Cooper S - Ford Mustang Chevrolet Corvette C 3 - MG A Saab 93B Mercedes 500 SEC - Ford Mustang C 6 Ford Mustang GT - AC Cobra - Simca Aronde - Renault 4 CV - Alfa Romeo 33 Peugeot 205 GTI - Porsche 911 - Ford Mustang GT 68 - Ferrari 328 GTS - BMW 2.5 CS - VW Buggy - Alfa Romeo Brera

It's very difficult to make a selection from all the photos taken, however you can find all of them by clicking on the Fans d'Anciennes association link to see a great report of the meeting:

Here a few favorite photos:

Juliette and the radiant smile of her SAMU emergency medical helicopter pilot Dad at the controls of Concorde.

Our friend Jack Krine, a well-known pilot and fan of vintage cars, spent a long time with us and around the cars as well as on board the Concorde.

Jack is always at ease on the flight deck or in the cabin of SA, chatting with mutual Air Solidarité friends, and in the AviaSim flight simulator, briefing our young instructor Djivani on flying an A320.

Among the local visitors we also had the pleasure in welcoming Mr Jean Jacques Grousseau, mayor of Athis Mons… thank you Olivia.

Just like in the village of the ancient Gauls, everyone enjoyed an improvised picnic in the shade of the wings of SA. Only missing was the Bard…

With a fitting final touch to the host and his caring shadow…
